Decades of Hands-On
ABB Robotics Expertise

With nearly 25 years of hands-on experience programming ABB robots, AppTech Robotics delivers production-ready robot programs grounded in deep expertise with RAPID software, multitasking, trap routines, and industrial process control.

This experience spans a wide range of real-world applications, including industrial paint systems, conveyor tracking, dispensing, welding, and material handling. Because solutions are developed with both simulation and physical production constraints in mind, potential risks are identified early — before deployment on the factory floor.

The result is more reliable commissioning, fewer surprises during startup, and robotic systems that perform as expected in real manufacturing environments.

What Is Offline Robot Programming?

Offline robotic programming (OLP) is the process of creating, testing, and optimizing robot programs in a virtual environment, without stopping production or occupying physical robots.

Using ABB RobotStudio, complete robotic cells — including robots, tooling, fixtures, and process logic — are simulated with high accuracy. Robot paths, sequences, and cycle times are validated digitally, allowing potential issues such as reach limits, collisions, or timing constraints to be identified early.

Once the process is proven in simulation, the final program is deployed directly to the robot controller, significantly reducing commissioning time and eliminating unnecessary downtime on the production floor.

Why Offline Programming Matters?

Zero production downtime — robots keep running

Robots stay on the job while programmers work in a digital twin. No interruptions. No lost output.

Faster development cycles with instant simulation feedback

Changes can be tested instantly in simulation. No waiting for robot availability.

Safer testing of complex paths and tight tolerances

Risky maneuvers, tight tolerances, and complex paths can be validated virtually before ever touching real hardware.

Lower costs through reduced errors and wear

Less downtime, fewer mistakes, and reduced wear on physical robots all translate to significant savings.

Accessible learning without physical robots

Students and new engineers can practice on virtual robots without needing expensive equipment.
AppTech Robotics - From Simulation to Production

/ how we work /

From Simulation to Production

Every robotics project follows a structured, repeatable process designed to minimize risk, reduce commissioning time, and ensure predictable results on the factory floor. Each step builds on validated data, not assumptions — from early discovery through final deployment.
1

Project Discovery

Review robot models, tooling, parts, and production goals to clearly define scope, constraints, and performance requirements before any programming begins.
2

Offline Simulation & Programming

Build the complete virtual cell and develop robot programs in ABB RobotStudio. Paths, sequences, and cycle times are simulated and validated to identify potential issues early.
3

Onsite Commissioning (Optional)

Upload and test programs on the real robot. Fine-tune motions, speeds, and process logic while validating I/O, safety, and integration with surrounding equipment.
4

Final Delivery

Provide finalized robot programs, simulation files, CAD data (if applicable), and clear documentation to support implementation, maintenance, and future optimization.
